A bow-front tank can be approximated with composite geometry, but curved glass and framing make measurement errors easy. Manufacturer-stated capacity is often the better starting point when the model is known.
A geometrically correct gross volume does not account for substrate, rocks or internal equipment. Keep shape calculation and displacement estimation as separate steps.
Good calculation is not about using the fanciest formula. It is about choosing a method that matches the physical object and being clear about its assumptions.

Convert cubic centimetres to litres by dividing by 1,000. Irregular and bow-front aquariums can require manufacturer data or a shape-specific calculation; pretending every curved tank is a rectangle can be a large error.
Decorative trim, cabinets and external frames do not define the water volume. Measure the internal water space wherever practical. If a tank has curved glass or a complex footprint, the manufacturer may publish a more reliable nominal capacity than a rough home measurement.
